Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct

The conduct and discipline of a student is of prime importance at Kalpana Chawla International School. It is expected that every student in school behaves in a manner that befits the dignity and honour of the values cherished at the school. Discipline is maintained through understanding and positive attitude. The school believes in Tagore’s philosophy ‘Where the mind is without Fear’. Discipline includes respect for seniors, love for juniors and self-control. Student’s discipline and conduct is recorded in the report card where special columns are made to assign grades according to their behaviour. Any student found lacking in conduct and behaviour may be asked to leave the school not withstanding any other achievement to his/her credit. The discipline and conduct records are the basis for the student’s final character certificate, whenever issued.

Punctuality and Cleanliness

Pupils must come to school punctually and neatly dressed. Nails should be neatly clipped, hair properly cut (no fancy hair styles, if long hair-two pony tails/plaits only), uniform should be washed and ironed. In case a child is late or is not in proper uniform, the child must have a letter of explanation addressed to the Principal.
